If you love nature, forests, and enjoy a bath in the great outdoors then Saoirse is your perfect cabin. Off grid, off line, and off-the-beaten track, the Saoirse cabin is
from €195 per night midweek
What do I
need to know?
Inside the Saoirse cabin, you will find everything you need to switch off and go analogue for your stay. The space is equipped with a wood stove, cosy blankets, and hot water bottles you warm on colder days. We recommend packing a raincoat for rainy days. Please also remember to wear good walking shoes and or boots, as the meadows and fields around can be damp and muddy in the winter months.
There is a two-night minimum stay at all our cabins, and most weekends have a three-night minimum. Reason being is that the science shows it takes 48-72 hours for our minds to fully disconnect from our devices. To feel the full effects of a digital detox, 72 hours is the sweet spot.
Our Highlights
Our favourite things to do around the Saoirse cabin
The Saoirse cabin sits on 350 acres of native Irish woodland and farmland for you to explore - there may even be a secret walled garden to uncover
Bathe in the middle of a forest and experience the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-yoku for real.
Brave a wild swim at Saoirse's onsite lake, or just enjoy a picnic on the pontoon with one of our flasks and blankets
What’s in the cabin?
And, how do I
get to the cabin?
Once booked, we will provide you with a what3words pin for you to find your cabin. But for now you can know it’s located on the Meath & Westmeath border between Athboy and Delvin.
By car
80km from Dublin and a journey time of 1hr
By Public transport
Approximately 1:45hr from Bus Aras Station on the 111 bus and including a 10 minute taxi at the end. We recommend checking timetables in advance depending on the day of the week and time and pre-booking the taxi in advance to avoid waiting times.
Still have questions?
Although we would love your stay at Samsú to be spent with your phone in the lockbox, we understand that this is not always possible. In some locations the phone reception is very good, in others it is less so. Please check the individual cabin you have booked for precise information about reception there.
A stay at Samsú should be as simple as possible and so we have included all of the essentials you should need for an analogue stay in nature. That being said, here are a few things we recommend you add to your packing list.
